Beau
Rescue Pittie Mix · Paw-touch sensitivity
Beau came in with his new owner, Marcus, after two failed grooming attempts at big-box salons. He'd never let anyone near his back paws — a holdover from whatever happened before the shelter. We started with just a warm bath and let him set the pace. First session: bath only. Second session: we got the nails.

Groomer's Note
"With dogs like Beau, the first visit isn't about the groom. It's about teaching him that this table is safe. We use a slow-blink approach, let him sniff every tool before it touches him, and keep the dryer on low until he says otherwise."
"I cried in the parking lot. Two years of failed attempts and she got all four paws done. Beau actually fell asleep on the table."

Mochi
Senior Shih Tzu, 13 yrs · Skin sensitivity + arthritis
Mochi's owner, Diane, had been driving 40 minutes to a specialist groomer until that groomer retired. Mochi has atopic dermatitis and a fused hip joint that makes lifting painful. We use a low-entry tub, a specific hypoallergenic shampoo she's tested on, and we never lift her by the torso. She takes three short breaks per session.

Groomer's Note
"Senior dogs need more time, not less. We block 30 extra minutes for Mochi's appointment. The breaks aren't inefficiency — they're the whole point. She leaves with zero stress and zero flare-ups."
"Mochi is 13 and has bad hips. The groomer remembers her exact shampoo and always texts me a photo when she's done. That's it. That's all I needed."

Luna
Siberian Husky · Peak blowout season
Luna's owner, Priya, booked in April when the undercoat was coming out in sheets. Luna sheds enough fur in one session to knit a sweater. We use a high-velocity dryer, a two-pass brush-out technique, and a de-shedding treatment that cuts re-shed by about 70% over the following three weeks. Luna went from a walking dust cloud to a show-ring silhouette in ninety minutes.

Groomer's Note
"Husky blowout is a workout. We go through the undercoat in two passes — first pass loosens, second pass removes. The de-shedding treatment seals the guard coat so the dead fur releases cleanly instead of drifting out over six weeks on your couch."
"My vacuum stopped crying. Luna looks incredible and the shedding genuinely slowed down for weeks. Worth every penny of the de-shed add-on."
